IAC GIRLS BOWLING: ELSTON LEADS TIOGA IN SWEEP OF MARATHON (2019-12-10)

WAVERLY "” Senior Bailey Elston led Tioga to a sweep of short-handed Marathon here Tuesday afternoon in IAC Small School Division girls bowling action at the Valley Bowling Center.

The Lady Tigers, now 5-7, won each game by at least 137 pins for a total-pinfall count of 1,982 to 1,455.

Elston rolled a 466 series, including a career-high 191 game, and senior Mackenzie Macumber shot a 445.

Junior Cassie Birney shot a 354 for Tioga in the win, while freshman Bobbi Jo Tarbox had a 353, junior Destini Sweet added a 342, and junior Millie Grantham tacked on a 304.

Jamie Card shot a 358 in reserve, and freshman Caroline Chapman added a 353.

Joslyn Homer led Marathon, which had just four bowlers, with a 387, and Sezja Brooks added a 386.

Tioga squares off with Waverly Thursday at the Valley Bowling Center.
