AUBURN, N.Y. "” Union Springs / Port Byron swept three close games from Waverly here Wednesday afternoon at Starlite Lanes in IAC Large School Division girls bowling action.

US / PB won the first game 802-783 and the second game 813-799, before finishing off the sweep with an 885-820 win for a total-pinfall victory of 2,500 to 2,402.

Eighth-grader Rachel Houseknecht led the Lady Wolverines with a 560 series, while senior Mackenzie Plouse had a 556, and senior Sadie VanAllen and freshman Victoria Houseknecht each shot series of 435.

Freshman Shantilly Decker added a 415 series for Waverly, and senior Morgan Lee tacked on a 324.

Colleen Jump led US / PB with a 598 series.

Waverly, now 8-4, and Tioga squares off Thursday at the Valley Bowling Center.
