TIOGA CENTER "” Tioga senior Chloe Bellis has decided to continue her volleyball career at the University of Pittsburg at Bradford in the fall, making it official Wednesday afternoon by signing a letter-of-intent to attend the Division III school.

Bellis said Pitt-Bradford seemed like a good fit.

"It just seems like a really good program," she said. "I think I will fit in really well, make friends, and have a good time."

She believe she's ready to play at the next level.

"Between playing at Tioga, and all the travel ball I've played, I think I'm ready," she said. "It was such a benefit playing travel ball."

Bellis realizes she has things to work on to be prepared for next season.

"I need to open up, and be more social with my new team.

"On the floor, I think I just need to work on the main skills, and work at perfecting the little fundamentals," she said.

Longtime Tioga volleyball coach Des Ford believes Bellis will be successful at the next level.

"The ability is there to be successful at the next level, she needs to keep working hard, and remain dedicated to the game," she said. "I'm excited, it's going to be fun to watch to see how she develops at that level."

Ford said she needs to work on a few little things.

"Communicating, maybe serving ... there are little things to tweak here and there to make her better," said Ford. "I think if she is focused and determined, she'll see those little things come together."

Bellis plans to major in Health and Physical Education.

"I haven't decided exactly what I'm doing, but my plan right now is to teach and coach," she said.

She's also not concerned about being three hours from home.

"I'm excited," said Bellis. "It's going to be exciting."
