WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD: ATHENS GRAD LUNGER PLACES IN TWO EVENTS AT GREAT DANE INDOOR CLASSIC (2020-01-16)

STATEN ISLAND - Athens grad Emily Lunger, a sophomore on the Division I St. Francis women's track & field team, placed in a pair of events here Saturday at the Great Dane Indoor Track & Field Classic at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.

Lunger cleared the bar at 5-feet, 5-inches to finish third in the high jump. Norfolk State freshman Tynnieisia Wilson also clear 5-5, but placed second due to fewer misses.

Priscilla Frederick-Lommis won with an effort of 5-feet, 10-inches.

Lunger finished sixth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 59.01 seconds. Delaware sophomore Halima Scott won in a time of 56.05 seconds.

St. Francis returns to action Jan. 23-25 at the Dr. Sander Columbia Challenge in New York City.
