Brian Courtney, a redshirt sophomore on the University of Virginia's wrestling team, earned a pair of bonus-point wins to help the Cavaliers to dual wins over Chattanooga and VMI here Sunday afternoon.
Courtney gave Virginia a 4-0 lead over Chattanooga with a 14-6 major decision over Aidan Murphy at 141 pounds.
Virginia led 7-6 after the first four bouts, but won five of the final six in a 24-9 decision over Chattanooga.
In the nightcap, Virginia rolled to a 44-3 decision over VMI.
Courtney won a 17-2 technical fall over Noah Ruolo at 141 pounds to give Virginia a 17-0 lead.
On the season, Courtney is 15-8 with four falls, and one technical fall.
Virginia, now 7-2, travels to N.C. State Friday.
