TOWANDA "” Freshman Taegan Williams, senior Lauren Neville, and Chris DeForest were quadruple-winners to help the Athens girls, and boys to wins over Towanda here Tuesday afternoon in NTL swimming action.

"Our freshmen - on the boys and girls side - are really starting to get into the swing of things," said Athens boys coach Mark Keister.

GIRLS
Athens 122, Towanda 50
The Lady Wildcats won 10 of 12 events to post a 122-50 win, with sophomore Brooke Kopatz winning three events, and freshman Taylar Fisher and senior Allyson Rockwell both winning two events.

Williams won the 100-yard freestyle in a district-qualifying time of 56.68 seconds, and freshman Ally Thoman was second in a district-qualifying time of 1:01.08.

Williams also won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:16.31, and Fisher was second in 1:21.02.

Neville won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 29.3 seconds, and senior Christian Bard was third in 29.94 seconds.

Neville led a sweep in the 100-yard butterfly in a district-qualifying time of 1:14.51, while Bard was second in a district-qualifying time of 1:14.93, and senior Isabelle Menard was third in 1:36.77.

Kopatz led a sweep in the 100-yard breaststroke in a district-qualifying time of 1:18.24, while McCarthy-Gardner was second in 1:23.04, and Thoman was third in 1:25.49.

Fisher won the 200-yard IM in a district-qualifying time of 2:41.53, and Kopatz was second in 2:43.16.

Williams, Kopatz, Neville, and Rockwell teamed to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:57.5. The same foursome won the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 4:23.52.

Fisher, Thoman, and sophomores Hannah Walker, and Raven McCarthy-Gardner teamed to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 2:27.2.

Junior Emma Roe won the 1-meter diving competition with a score of 110.05 points.

Rockwell was second in the 200-yard freestyle in a  time of 2:24.54, and senior Kaitlin Kisner was third in 2:31.36. Rockwell also finished second in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:36.05.

BOYS
Athens 110, Towanda 62
The Wildcats won 11 events in a 110-62 victory with sophomore Zac Gowin, junior Mason Henderson, and senior Nate Gorsline winning three events apiece, and sophomore Kaden Gorsline and senior T.J. Toscano earning two wins apiece.

DeForest won the 50-yard freestyle in a district-qualifying time of 25.86 seconds, and Nate Gorsline was second in a district-qualifying time of 25.9 seconds.

DeForest also won the 100-yard freestyle in a district-qualifying time of 58.76 seconds, and junior Joe Toscano was third in 1:05.7.

Gowin won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:31.81, and sophomore Reuven Gifeisman was third in 2:25.37. Gowin also won the 500-yard freestyle in a district-qualifying time of 5:58.03.

Henderson won the 200-yard IM in a district-qualifying time of 2:31.73, and freshman Ethan Denlinger was second in 2:36.99.

Nate Gorsline, who swam on all three winning relays, teamed with T.J. Toscano, Henderson, and Joe Toscano  to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 2:05.67.

DeForest, Nate Gorsline, Kaden Gorsline, and Gifeisman teamed to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:47.8.

DeForest, Henderson, Gowin, and Nate Gorsline won the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 4:03.07.

T.J. Toscano won the 100-yard breaststroke a time of 1:20.48, and freshman Travis Webster was third in 1:28.11.
 
Kaden Gorsline won the 1-meter diving competition with 181.6 points.

Denlinger won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:15.0, and Joe Toscano was third in 1:20.68.

Webster finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:23.55.
