THE VALLEY - Tioga hosts its final home wrestling dual of the season tonight, while the Waverly grapplers take the short trip to Spencer to face SVEC, and the Athens and Sayre girls are on the road in the only action on the docket.

WRESTLING
Whitney Point (6-9 overall, 0-4 IAC Large) at Tioga (4-0, 3-0), 6:30 p.m.:
The Tigers are coming off a team title at the IAC Championships Saturday. They topped SVEC, 54-33, Wednesday in their last dual, and can clinch a share of the division title with a win.

Whitney Point, which finished 11th in the 12-team field at the IACs, dropped a 37-36 decision to Moravia on Jan. 9 in its last dual.

The Golden Eagles' top records belong to junior Hunter Ballard (18-4 at 152 pounds), senior Jordan Canniff (18-8 at 145), senior Aiden Rosa (14-4 at 126), junior Killian Prentice (22-6 at 160), and Kristian Nilsen (16-11 at 132).

Tioga, ranked 7th in the State, is led by senior Brady Worthing (30-0 at 138 pounds), 8th-grader Gianni Silvestri (23-1 at 99), 8th-grader Caden Bellis (24-1 at 106), freshman Donovan Smith (26-2 at 120), senior David MacWhinnie (18-3 at 132), senior Jacob Welch (18-3 at 126), sophomore Emmett Wood (24-6 at 152), and sophomore Mason Welch (22-7 at 120).

Waverly (10-7, 2-2) at SVEC (9-7 2-2), 6:30 p.m.:
The Wolverines, who finished third at the IAC Championships, dropped a 58-24 non-league decision at Towanda Wednesday in its last dual, while the Eagles, seventh at the IACs, lost 54-33 to Tioga.

SVEC's top records belong to 8th-grader Osumane Duncanson (25-8 at 132 pounds), junior Nick Tubbs (24-9 at 170), sophomore Devin Beach (19-11 at 160), and junior Jacob Campolito (18-10 at 195).

Waverly's top records belong to senior Ethan Stotler (33-1 at 160), junior Trevor Meyers (27-9 at 170), sophomore Garrett SKeens (25-10 at 132), and freshman Gage Tedesco (22-6 at 182).

GIRLS BASKETBALL
NEB (13-3-, 9-1) at
Sayre (3-12 overall, 3-7 NTL Small) , 6 p.m. (Varsity only): The Lady Redskins dropped a 57-24 decision NTL Large School co-leader Towanda Monday night, while the Lady Panthers topped Cowanesque Valley, 51-27.

Athens (11-2, 8-1 NTL Large) at Troy (3-10, 2-6), 6 p.m. JV start:
The Lady Wildcats topped Thomas A. Edison, 41-19, Monday in a non-league tilt, while the Lady Trojans were thumped by Milton, 53-20.
