THE VALLEY - The Tioga girls host Groton on the hardwoods, and the Waverly boys swim team hosts O-M in the only home events in the Valley Friday, while five basketball teams and the Waverly indoor track & field team are on the road.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Groton (3-6, 1-5 IAC Small) at Tioga (5-8, 3-4), 5:30 p.m. JV start:
The Lady Tigers are coming off a 66-42 loss at Union Springs last Friday.

Waverly (9-2, 5-1 IAC Large) at Whitney Point (3-7, 1-5), 5:30 p.m. JV start:
The Lady Wolverines are coming off an 81-15 romp over Dryden Friday, while the Lady Golden Eagles were thumped, 73-19, by Newark Valley eight days ago.

Sayre (3-13, 3-8 NTL Small) at North Penn-Mansfield (9-7, 4-6), 6 p.m. JV start:
The Lady Redskins dropped a 43-30 decision to NEB Wednesday, while the Lady Tigers topped Canton, 42-22.

Athens (11-2, 8-1 NTL Large) at Wellsboro (6-7, 6-4), 6 p.m. JV start:
The Wildcats are coming off a 54-23 win over Troy Wednesday, while the Lady Green Hornets topped Wellsboro, 67-10.

Athens is tied with Towanda atop the Large School standings, with Wyalusing 2 games off the pace.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Athens (10-3 overall, 9-2 NTL Large) at Towanda (2-14, 1-9), 6 p.m. JV start:
The Wildcats are coming off a 72-52 win over North Penn-Mansfield Thursday night, while the Black Knights dropped a 64-51 decision at Wellsboro.

Tioga (1-10, 0-6 IAC Small) at Groton (6-7, 3-4), 5:30 p.m.  JV start:
The Tigers are coming off their first win of the season Tuesday, a 55-41 non-league decision over Deposit-Hancock, while the Indians dropped a 67-48 non-league decision to DeRuyter.

BOYS SWIMMING
O-M at Waverly (9-0), 5 p.m.: 
The Wolverines are coming off a 125-55 win over Lansing eight days ago - their 39th consecutive win, while the Indians topped Dryden, 57-29, Friday.

INDOOR TRACK & FIELD
