NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: NORTH PENN-MANSFIELD CRUISES TO 62-24 WIN OVER SAYRE (2020-01-24)

MANSFIELD "” North Penn-Mansfield had four scorers in double-figures in a 62-24 rout of Sayre here Friday night in NTL Small School girls basketball action.

The Lady Tigers jumped out to a 16-6 lead after the first eight minutes, then used a 21-5 blitz in the second quarter to take a 37-11 lead into the halftime intermission.

NP-M continued to pull away in the third quarter with a 15-6 spurt that extended the lead to 52-17 heading into the final eight minutes.

Senior Emily Sutryk led Sayre with 11 points, two assists, and on blocked shot, while senior Madi LaManna added eight points, five rebounds, and two assists, and junior Gabbi Randall contributed three rebounds, three assists, and one blocked shot.

Freshman Hali VanDyke grabbed four rebounds, sophomore Jazz DeKay had three boards, and Aliyah Rawlings chipped in with three rebounds and one blocked shot.

JoAnne McNamara led NP-M with 15 points, while Emma Palmer scored 13 points, Lizzi Welch added 12 points, and Jamie Palmer chipped in with 10 points.

Sayre, now 3-14, returns to action Wednesday at Cowanesque Valley.
