Valley Sports Report
THE VALLEY "” Saturday's marque events are all on the road, with Tioga the top seed in the Section IV, Division 2 Duals, the Athens grapplers at the rugged Thomas Chevrolet Tournament in Bedford, and the Waverly boys at Watkins Glen in a battle for first place in the IAC South Large School Division.

The lone home game of the day has the Sayre boys hosting Williamson on the hardwoods.

WRESTLING
Section IV, Division 2 Duals, 10 a.m. @ Chenango Forks H.S.: 
The day begins at 10 a.m. with quarter-final matches pitting third-seed Norwich (4-6)  against sixth-seed Walton / Delhi (14-5), and fourth-seed BGAH (7-3) against fifth-seed Owego (12-3).

The Norwich-Walton / Delhi winner will take on second-seed Windsor (7-0) in the semifinals, while the BGAH-Owego winner takes on top-seed Tioga (6-0). The semis are slated for 1:30 p.m.

Tioga seeks its third straight trip to the New York State Duals.

The finals are set for 4:30 p.m.

Athens at Thomas Chevrolet Tournament, 9 a.m. @ Bedford H.S.: The Wildcats make their annual trek to Bedford High School for the rugged Thomas Chevrolet Tournament, which is expecting a 28-team field.

Athens will be in action against Berlin Brothersway, Bethlehem Center, Burrell, Cambria Heights, Central Cambria, (Martinsburg) Central, Chestnut Ridge, Claysburg Kimmel, Conemaugh, Everett, Freedom, Greenville, Huntingdon Area, Jefferson-Morgan, Mayersdale, Mount Pleasant Area, Newport, North Schuylkill, North Star, Northeast Bradford, Northern Bedford, Penn Cambria, Somerset Area, Southern Huntingdon, Tri-Valley, Tussey Mountain, and host Bedford.

Sophomore Gavin Bradley carries the best record, at 24-1 at 113 pounds, into the tournament for the Wildcats, while senior Alex West (170) and Keegan Braund (285) are both 206, sophomore Kaden Setzer (120) is 16-5, junior Kyler Setzer (106) is 18-6, and sophomore Karter Rude (145) is 14-5.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Williamson (2-13 overall, 0-10 NTL Small) at Sayre (6-8, 3-7), 1 p.m. JV start:
The Redskins dropped a 71-46 decision at NEB Thursday, while Williamson lost 62-50 to Canton at home.

Waverly (10-2, 6-1 IAC South Large) at Watkins Glen (11-1, 6-1), 6 p.m. JV start: The Wolverines are coming off a 54-44 loss to Whitney Point Thursday, while the Senecas have been out of action since a 56-36 win over Addison last Friday.

The teams are tied atop the Large School standings with 6-1 records - both teams' losses coming against Whitney Point.
