IAC GIRLS BASKETBALL: AYRES LEADS FOUR LADY TIGERS RECEIVING SOUTH SMALL SCHOOL ALL-STAR HONORS (2020-02-21)

Valley Sports Report
TIOGA CENTER  - Tioga had four players land IAC South Small School Division all-star accolades, including first-team selection junior Olivia Ayres, and second-team pick senior Chloe Bellis, in recent voting by the division's coaches.

FIRST TEAM
Olivia Ayres, junior, Tioga:
Ayres led the Lady Tigers with 14.4 points per game, and 62 3-pointers. She also averaged 3.1 rebounds, 1.6 steals, and 1.2 assists per game.

Newfield junior Katie Moravec was named the division's MVP, while Newfield juniors Kelly Moravec and Jenna Goodwin were named to the first team, along with Candor's Braelyn Hornick, and O-M's Sara Gardner.

SECOND TEAM
Chloe Bellis, senior, Tioga:
Bellis averaged 9.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and a team-high 3.9 steals per game.

Joining Bellis on the second team are Candor senior Jennah Kareem, O-M senior Grace Vondracek, Newfield junior Maura Wood-Ellis, and O-M senior Kara Reese.

Honorable Mention

Eve Wood, junior, Tioga:
Wood averaged 11.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 1.4 assists per game. She also made 25 3-pointers.

Giovanna Rossi, senior, Tioga:
Rossi averaged 9.2 points, a team-high 11.7 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game. She had a 23-point, 18-rebound performance this season.

Also receiving honorable mention recognition were S-VE's Tara Perkins and Sophia Dutra, and O-M's JoLynn Minnier.
