Valley Sports Report
THE VALLEY - Wrestling, boys basketball, and diving headline the postseason action South of the Border, while boys swimming and girls bowling are on the postseason docket in New York.

WRESTLING
District 4 Championships, 8:30 A.m. @ Williamsport H.S.:
The Athens trio of sophomore Gavin Bradley, and seniors Keegan Braund and Alex West are the only three Valley wrestlers to advance to the semifinals.

Six other Wildcat wrestlers, and two Sayre grapplers will be in action in the consolation bracket.

BOYS BASKETBALL
6-Sayre (12-11) vs. 2-Bloomsburg (16-7), 3 p.m. @ Montoursville H.S.:
The Redskins advanced to the semifinals with a 48-38 upset of third-seed Millville Wednesday night, while the Panthers rolled to a 79-35 win over East Juniata.

On Feb. 8, Bloomsburg topped Sayre, 74-46.

BOYS SWIMMING
Waverly at Section IV State Qualifier, 6 p.m @ Watkins Glen H.S.:
Waverly will have swimmers in six individual events, and all three relays at the Class B Championships.

Senior Mike Atanasoff, junior Ryan Bennett, and sophomore Kaden Wheeler will each be swimming in two events, with Atanasoff and Bennett both in the 50-yard freestyle, while junior Collin Keefer and freshman Oscar Williams are both in the 500 free.

The Wolverines also have 11 entries in the consolation finals.

BOYS & GIRLS DIVING
Athens at District 4 Diving Championships @ Bloomsburg H.S.:
Athens junior Emma Roe will be competing for the Lady Wildcats, while sophomore Kaden Gorsline, and junior James Benninger-Jones will be in action for the boys.

GIRLS BOWLING
Section IV State Qualifier, 9 a.m. @ Valley Bowling Center, Waverly:
Freshman Victoria Houseknecht (176.1 average) and 8th-grader Rachel Houseknecht (174.9 average) will compete for a berth at States this morning at the Section IV State Qualifier.

Hancock's Brenna Gleim has the top average for Division 2 competitors at 205.6.

The Houseknechts ranked 12th and 13th heading into the Division 2 action. The top six, not on the Division 2 championship team, advance to States as a Section IV all-star team.
