COLLEGE FOOTBALL: TIOGA GRAD HUTCHINSON EARNS EMPIRE 8 PRESIDENT'S LIST RECOGNITION (2020-07-05)

MORRISVILLE - Tioga grad Zach Hutchinson, now a Morrisville State grad, was recognized recently for academic excellence as part to eh Empire 8 Athletic Conference President's List for the 2020 Spring semester.

Hutchinson was one of eight Mustang football players to earn the honor, which requires a 3.75 GPA or higher during the semester.

In addition, the student-athlete must display positive conduct on and off campus and be enrolled full-time at the member institution. The conference states, "Its commitment to serve the educational needs of its student-athletes is the hallmark of the Empire 8 Conference."

Hutchison, who is a two-time all-conference performer, was a key cog on the offensive line for a Mustang team that averaged 420.1 yards in total offense, including 149.2 yards per game on the ground, and 35.9 points per game.

Hutchison started the final 36 games in his four-year varsity career, including the Mustangs' 35-24 loss to Westminster College on Nov. 23 in the ECAC Division III Clayton Chapman Bowl.
