NTL CROSS COUNTRY: ATHENS BOYS TOP TROY; LADY WILDCATS FALL (15 PHOTOS) (2020-09-22)

TROY - Connor Dahl, Matt Gorsline, and Kyle Anthony swept the top three spots to lead Athens to a 21-38 win over Troy here Tuesday in NTL boys cross country action at Mount Pisgah State Park.

Dahl clocked in at 17:53 for a first-place finish, while Gorsline was second in 18:10, and Anthony was third in 18:38.

The Trojans took the next three spots, but the Wildcats clinched the win with runners finishing seventh through 11th.

Justin Lynch finished seventh in 19:47, while Ethan Denlinger was eighth in 19:57, Nate Prickett was ninth in 21:13, Isaac Hobday was 10th in 21:23, and Sander Bertsch was 11th in 21:27.

Mason Henderson finished 13th in 22:24 for the Wildcats, while Brenden Jones was 15th in 22:41, and Connor Brown was 18th in 26:46.

GIRLS
Troy's Lilly DePew outdueled Athens sophomore Emma Bronson to lead the Lady Trojans to a 21-40 win in NTL cross country action.

DePew clocked in a 21:51, while Bronson crossed the finish line in 22:03.

Thea Bentley finished fifth for the Lady Wildcats in 25:18, while Caitlyn Conklin was 10th in 27:09, Emily Henderson was 14th in 30:25, and Macaria Benjamin was 15th in 30:46.
