LeRAYSVILLE — Northeast Bradford scored a pair of second-half goals, and Brandon Kuhn scored late in the overtime period in a 3-2 win over Sayre here Tuesday afternoon in NTL boys soccer action.

“This was a tough loss after being up 2-0,” said Sayre coach Greg Hughey.

“We were playing well, then we seemed to play flat and couldn't win the middle of the field, noted Hughey. “We aren't communicating and during our play it shows — when we don't talk we play poorly.”

Junior Mason Hughey scored in the 37th minute to give the Redskin a 1-0 lead it would carry into the halftime intermission.

Freshman Alex Campbell scored about 7 1/2 minutes into the second half to give Sayre a 2-0 lead, but the Panthers would strike quickly.

Cesar Alvarez and Julian Jampo scored about two minutes apart to tie the game at 2-2 with 22 minutes remaining in the contest.

Kuhn netted the game-winner with 20 seconds remaining in overtime.

NEB had a 15-9 advantage in shots-on-goal, while Sayre had a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.

Sophomore Cole Gelbutis had 12 saves in net for the Redskins, while Garrett Cooper had seven for the Panthers.

Sayre, now 3-7, returns to action Thursday at Towanda.
