PRO HOCKEY: START OF ELMIRA ENFORCERS SEASON PUSHED BACK TO JAN. 15 (2020-11-25)

Valley Sports Report
ELMIRA "” The Federal Prospects Hockey League, home of the Elmira Enforcers, recently announced it will move back the start date of its season to Jan. 15.

League owners and officials believe that this will give the best chance for the league to play a fair and complete season while allowing time for COVID protocols and safety measures to be established

Enforcer owners Robbie and Nellie Nichols have consistently championed the idea of returning to play in a way that is not only safe for the players, but for the fans as well.

"We love our fans here in Elmira and playing an empty arena game on March 12 was a reminder of how important the fans here are to our team and our town," said Robbie Nichols. "We are approaching this with caution to make sure that the best fans in the FPHL can come out and watch this team compete."

Though this is a delay in the season the Enforcers plan to have a full schedule once again this season as the team will be entering their third season in the FPHL.
