TOP 7 FALL MALE ATHLETES: WYALUSING'S LAUDERMILCH CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT IN 2020 (2020-12-13)
Valley Sports ReportIt wasn't a normal season, but there were still
plenty of memorable performances and great performers throughout
Bradford County.
7. Kashawn Cameron, Wyalusing
In
about four and a half games Cameron had 448 total yards - 344 receiving
and 104 rushing, which came in just a game and a half - while also
scoring four touchdowns to help the Rams improve from last season and
finish .500. His three touchdown, 300 plus yard game against Sayre was
an NTL highlight during the season.
6. Ben Pernaselli, Athens
Pernaselli's
play on both sides of the ball, particularly on defense, were key to
Athens turning things around this season. Besides causing havoc on
defense he was a strong blocker on the offensive line and had
trustworthy hands, catching three passes for 22 yards.
5. Brandon Kuhn, NEB
Kuhn
was one of the area's top goal scorers, with several multi-goal games,
one of which included seven against Towanda. He also nabbed his 50th
career goal this season, made especially remarkable since he's a junior.
4. Nate Quinn, Athens
A
high IQ player and strong leg, Quinn helped a revamped Wildcats squad
challenge Wellsboro for the NTL title and repeat as district champions.
He finished with 13 goals and seven assists in 13 games.
3. Mason Imbt, Troy
Imbt
took over the role of most feared linemen from his brother Jack this
season. The 6-foot, 3-inch, 290-pound Imbt helped lead the way for one
of the best rushing attacks in the NTL - they had well over 1,500 yards
in six games - and spearheaded one of the best defenses - one that
didn't allow a score for 10 straight quarters.
2. Riley Parker, Canton
In
four games Parker led Canton in rushing, running for 447 yards and five
touchdowns, along with being a strong defensive presence, as he had 16
tackles. His ground game spearheaded the Warriors' wins over Athens,
Muncy and Wellsboro when they returned from quarantine.
1. Zion Laudermilch, Wyalusing
Laudermilch
went undefeated on the season in the NTL and wasn't truly challenged
during the dual meet season. He won the NTL Invitational, took third at
the District IV Championships and then earned a medal at the PIAA
Championships.
