Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY "” Junior Kaden Wheeler and sophomores Oscar Williams and Ryan Clark won four events apiece to lead Waverly to a season-opening, 103-37, win over Odessa-Montour here Thursday afternoon in an IAC boys swimming "virtual" swim meet.
Sophomore Jerell Sackett and senior Dillon Madigan were triple-winners for the Wolverines, who are now riding a 44-meet win streak
Wheeler, Williams, and Clark teamed with Sackett to win the meet-opening 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:50.01.
The same trio teamed with Madigan teamed to win the meet-closing 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 3:45.52.
Sackett and Madigan teamed with senior Max Pan and freshman Liam Wright to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:58.15.
Wheeler won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:00.07, and Dillon Madigan was second in 2:05.0 Wheeler also won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:02.54.
Williams won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:16.56, and Wright was second in 2:26.8
Williams also won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 53.06, and Sackett was second in 54.65 seconds.
Clark won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:02.27, and Sheldon Huddleston was second in 1:24.83. Clark also won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:12.31
Madigan won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:37.45, and Wright was second in 5:38.83.
Sackett won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 23.62 seconds, and sophomore Ayden Johnson was third in 32.22 seconds.
Waverly hosts Corning and Maine-Endwell in a tri-meet Saturday.
