WAVERLY - Gold won a pair of close decisions in the opening week of the Waverly Rec. youth basketball league.

5th- & 6th Grade
Gold 43, Blue 36: Rylen Larson pumped in 18 points to lead Gold to a 43-36 win over Blue. Jack Pipher and Ben Shaw added 11 and 10 points, respectively, in the win.

Bryce Laforest led Blue with 16 points and Collin Wheeler added 11.

Gold 49, Blue 43: Jack Pipher led a balanced Gold offense with 12 points in a 49-43 win over Blue. Rylan Larson and Ben Shaw both added 10 points in the win.

Bryce Laforest led Blue with 10 points, while Collin Wheeler and Daniel Fischer added 10 points apiece.

Blue 20, Gold 18: Griffin Walter was Blue's top scorer with 14 points. Brody Lambert led Blue with 10 points, and Cooper Skovira added six.

Gold 24, Blue 22:  Braiden Judson led Gold with eight points, and Brycen Fiske added five. Hayden Roskow was Blue's leading scorer with 10, and Griffin Walter added six.
