DISTRICT 4 BOYS BASKETBALL: SAYRE, ATHENS OPEN PLAYOFFS ON THE ROAD (2021-02-28)

THE VALLEY "” The Sayre and Athens boys will both open District 4 boys basketball playoff action on the road this week.

CLASS AA
The Redskins (5-13) are the eighth seed and will open at top-seeded Muncy (14-4) Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The winner will face the winner of the game between fourth-seeded Canton (10-9) and fifth-seed East Juniata (8-10) at a date and time to be announced.

On the other side of the bracket, seeded-seeded Wyalusing (11-6) hosts seventh-seeded Line Mountain (5-14), and third-seed Northeast Bradford (11-7) hosts sixth-seed Montgomery (9-1).

CLASS AAAA
Athens (13-9) is the fifth seed and will open at fourth-seeded Lewisburg (10-8) Friday at 7 p.m.

The winner will face the winner of the game between top-seeded Danville (13-1) and eighth-seed Midd-West (6-12).

On the other side of the bracket, second-seed Mifflinburg (15-2) hosts seventh-seed Jersey Shore (8-13), and third-seed Montoursville (14-4) hosts sixth-seed Shamokin (6-10).
