YOUTH BASKETBALL: CLOSE GAMES RULE THE WEEK AT WAVERLY REC. HOUSE LEAGUES (2021-03-23)

WAVERLY "” The Gold topped the Blue in three of four games this week in 5th- & 6th-grade boys division of the Waverly Recreation Youth Basketball House leagues here at the Elm Street School, while the Blue and Gold split four decisions in the younger division.

5th- & 6th Grade Division
GOLD 44, BLUE 40: Rylen Larson led Gold with 14 points and Ben Shaw and Jack Pipher added 12 points apiece in a 44-40 win over the Blue.

Eric Lewis, Collin Wheeler and Bryce Laforest scored 10 points apiece to lead the Blue.

GOLD 48, BLUE 32: Shaw pumped in 17 points, and Larson added 12 for Gold. Brycen Laforest had 10 for Blue.

BLUE 39, GOLD 37: Bryce Laforest had 11 points to lead Blue, and Rylan Yeakel added 10.  Shaw, Pipher and Larson scored 10 apiece for Gold.

GOLD 43, BLUE 41: Pipher and Shaw scored 13 points apiece for Gold. Laforest tallied 12 and Dan Fischer had 11 for Blue.

4th- & 5th-Grade Division
BLUE 23, GOLD 21: Hayden Roskow scored nine points to lead Blue. Brody Lambert and Drew Croft both had seven points for Gold.

BLUE 23, GOLD 22: Griffin Walter and Roskow each scored eight points to lead Blue. Braiden Judson and Brycen Fiske each scored eight for Gold.

GOLD 24, BLUE 20: Judson led Gold with nine points, and Fiske had eight. Xavier Carrasco scored eight points, and Roskow added seven to lead Blue.

GOLD 25, BLUE 19: Cooper Skovira had eight points to lead Gold and Judson added seven. Walter scored a game-high 10 points for Blue.
