THE VALLEY "” There are just six events on Thursday's docket, but four of them are here in the Valley, including a baseball game, a softball game, and two golf matches.

BASEBALL
Wellsboro (7-5, 5-1 NTL Large) at Athens (8-7, 4-3), 4:30 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off a 5-4 loss at Tioga Saturday, while the Hornets edged North Penn-Mansfield, 5-3, Monday.

SOFTBALL
Waverly (1-1) at Watkins Glen (0-1) , 5 p.m.: The Lady Wolverines are coming off a 14-3 loss to Athens Saturday, while the Lady Senecas are coming off a 28-0 loss to Notre Dame Monday.

Wednesday's game, which was originally scheduled to be played at Waverly, was rained out.

Wellsboro (9-3 overall, 4-2 NTL Large) at Athens (13-3, 5-1), 4:30 p.m.: The Lady Wildcats are coming off wins over Waverly and Tioga Saturday, while the Lady Hornets blanked North Penn-Liberty, 10-0.

BOYS GOLF
Waverly (2-1) at O-M, 4 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a 196-205 win over Notre Dame Tuesday, while the Indians dropped a 212-231 decision at Tioga.

Notre Dame (0-1) at Tioga (2-0), 4 p.m. @ Tioga Golf Course: The Tigers are coming off a 212-231 win over O-M, while the Crusaders dropped a 184-212 decision to unbeaten SVEC.

GIRLS GOLF
Marathon, Corning, Horseheads at Waverly (1-1), 4 p.m. @ Tomasso's Golf Course: The Lady Wolverines lost at Lansing Monday, snapping a 119-match regular-season win streak dating back to 2015.
