VALLEY ASA SOFTBALL (MAJORS): MOONEY'S RIDES BIG INNING TO 16-6 WIN OVER KOCSIS LAW (2021-06-11)

ATHENS TOWNSHIP "” Mooney' s scored seven runs in the top of the second inning, and pulled away for a 16-6 win over Kocsis Law here Saturday in Valley ASA Majors Division softball action.

Caitlin McDaniel and Savannah Finan each doubled and singled, and scored three runs to pace Mooney's at the plate, and Reagan McDaniel singled twice and scored three runs. Cailin and Reagan McDaniel also had three RBI apiece.

Haleigh Green singled, scored three runs, and had one RBI in the win, while Layla Sullivan doubled and skinned, scored one run, and drove in two runs, Audrey Sharpe singled twice and scored one run, Zoe Ward singled and scored one run, Hanna Green singled and knocked in one run, and Rachel Malanoski scored one run.

Layla Sullivan earned the win in the pitcher's circle, striking out two and walking two.

Hannah Shutter led Kocsis at the plate with three hits, including a triple, one run scored, and one RBI, while Lillie Kirk singled twice and scored one run, Lani Miller and Bella Gonzalez each tripled and scored one, Annabel Wilmot singled and scored one run, Cierra Devine belted a triple, Alexia Hooper and Averi Grohol each singled, and Lilley Watkins scored one run.
