SAYRE "” Sayre Legion Post #283 used five consecutive singles in the bottom of the seventh inning to scored three runs for an 8-7 walk-off win over Towanda here Monday evening in Bradford-Tioga Counties Legion baseball action.

Towanda scored four runs in the top of the fifth to take a 7-2 lead, but Sayre began its rally in the bottom of the inning.

With two outs and Jake Burgess on second base, Zach Garrity grounded an RBI single into left field to trim the deficit to 7-3.

After a single by Kannon VanDuzer and a walk to Jackson Hubbard loaded the bases, Dom Fabbri stroked a two-RBI single into left field to cut the Towanda lead to 7-5.

Garrity and VanDuzer led off the bottom of the seventh with back-to-back singles, and Hubbard trimmed the deficit to 7-6 with an RBI single to left field.

After Fabbri singled to load the bases, Thomas Morley lined a two-run single into left field to win the game.

Hubbard singled twice, scored one run, and had three RBI, while Garrity singled twice, scored two runs, and drove in one run, and VanDuzer singled twice and scored three runs to pace Sayre's10-hit attack.

Fabbri singled twice and had two RBI in the win, while Morley singled and drove in two runs, Jack Ennis singled, and Burgess scored two runs.

VanDuzer earned the win with two innings of scoreless relief, allowing one hit, while striking out two and walking none.

Josh Arnold started for Sayre, allowing three runs - two earned - on four hits, while striking out four and walking three.
