WAVERLY - Senior Delaney Vascoe won four events to lead Waverly to a 99-86 win over previously-unbeaten Lansing here Thursday afternoon in IA girls swimming action.

Seniors Lourden Benjamin and Willow Sharpsteen, and 8th-grader Mira Kittle were triple-winners for the Lady Wolverines, who improve to 3-1 on the season.

Vascoe won the 500-yard freestyle in a personal-best time of 6:13.39, and 8th-grader Emma Vanderhoof was third in a personal-best time of 7:13.16.

Vascoe also won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:23.66.

Vascoe, Benjamin, Sharpsteen, and Kittle teamed to win the 200-yard medley relay in a season-best time of 2:07.93.

Vascoe teamed with DeSisti, 8th-grader Liz Robinson, and senior Nicole Bunke to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in a season-best time of 4:28.65.

Kittle won the 100-yard backstroke in a personal-best time of 1:09.53.

Benjamin won the 200-yard freestyle in a season-best time of 2:21.88. Bunke finished sixth with a season-best time of 2:46.32.

Sharpsteen won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:41.41, and Robinson was third in a personal-best time of 2:54.86 seconds.

The foursome of Benjamin, Sharpsteen, Kittle and DeSisti won the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:53.67.

Junior Josie VanDyke won the 1-meter diving competition with 170.25 points, which places her No. 7 on Waverly's all-time list. Junior Natalie Garrity was second with 143.2 points.

Kittle finished second in the 50-yard freestyle in 28.2 seconds, and DeSisti was third in 28.75 seconds.

Sharpsteen finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:13.47, and Robinson was fourth in a personal-best time of 1:20.99.

DeSisti finished second in the 100-yard freestyle in a personal-best time of 1:02.41, and Benjamin was third in 1:03.4.

Waverly returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Whitney Point.
