WOMEN'S COLLEGE SOCCER: ATHENS GRAD SINDONI NETS TWO GOALS IN ROBERT WESLEYAN'S FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN (2021-10-25)

ROCHESTER  - Athens grad Abby Sindoni, a sophomore on the Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer team, scored two goals to held the Lady Redhawks to their fourth straight win - a 2-0 victory over D'Youville College Saturday.

Sindoni netted her first goal in the 26th minute with a strong run down the right side, and a hard shot into the side of the net.

Sindoni added an insurance goal in the 86th minute when she chased down a long ball, and drove a shot into the back of the net.

On Monday, Sindoni recorded her first assist of the season in the Lady Redhawks' 3-1 win over Bluefield State.

Sindoni, who started in 10 of 11 games and is averaging 73.5 minutes per game, has scored five goals in Robert Wesleyan's last five games, and leads the team with five goals. She has taken 23 shots this season, with 12 of them being on-goal.

Roberts Wesleyan, now 5-7-1, returns to action Saturday at St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkle, N.Y.
