WOMEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL: WAVERLY GRAD TOMASSO HELPS ST. JOHN FISHER TO TOURNEY TITLE (2021-11-28)

HARRISBURG "” Waverly grad Sidney Tomasso, a freshman on the St. John Fisher women's basketball team, helped the Lady Cardinals to pair of wins, and the Penn State-Harrisburg Tournament title over the weekend.

On Saturday, Tomasso scored nine points - on 4 of 9 shooting from the field, including a 3-pointer, and had two rebounds, two blocked shots one steal in a 76-56 win over Widener.

In the finals Sunday, Tomasso scored a career-high 12 points, and had three rebounds, one assist, and one steal. She made 5 of 11 shots from the field, including a pair of 3-pointers.

On the season, Tomasso, who has started all six games this season, is averaging 8.8 points, 2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. She also has nine 3-pointers, three blocked shots, and three steals.

St. John Fisher, now 6-0, returns to action Dec. 10 when it hosts Clarkson.
