GROTON "” Senior Dylan Slater led a balanced Tioga line-up in a tightly-contested sweep of Groton here Thursday afternoon in IAC Small School boys bowling action, while the Lady Tigers were swept.

Tioga 4, Groton 0
The Tigers won the first game by 14 pins - 845-839, then followed it up with wins of 867-749, and 831-790 for a total-pinfall victory of 2,547 to 2,374.

Dylan Slater rolled a 568 series, including a 244 in the second game, to pace Tioga, while junior Frank Chapman shot a 500, and junior Gage Cain had a 493.

Eighth-grader Nick Slater had a 477 for the Tigers, while senior Rocco Fariello added a 476, and junior Bradley Webb chipped in with a 443.

Isaac Hall led Groton with a 534, and Jason Rabenstein added a 523.

Groton 4, Tioga 0
Groton won the first game by 24 pins, then won the next two games by more than 100 pins in a total-pinfall victory of 1,913 to 1,648.

Junior BobbiJo Tarbox led the Lady Tigers with a 391 series, and sophomore Chloe Gillett added a 352.

Tioga returns to action Tuesday at O-M.
