MEN'S COLLEGE SWIMMING: WAVERLY GRAD ATANASOFF IS LIBERTY LEAGUE 'ROOKIE OF THE WEEK' (2022-01-10)

ROCHESTER — Waverly grad Mike Atanasoff, a freshman on the RIT men’s swim team, was a four-time winner in RIT’s victory over Hamilton College Saturday and was named the Liberty League Men's Swimming “Rookie of the Week” on Monday.

Atanasoff won 50-yard freestyle in a time of 22.21 seconds, and the 100-yard freestyle in 49.14 seconds.

Atanasoff also swam legs on the winning 200-yard medley, and 200-yard freestyle relays.

RIT returns to action Jan. 22 in a quid-meet when its hosts Nazareth, Rochester, and Geneseo.
