Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY — Wrestling takes center stage, with all four Valley teams in action at tournaments, including Waverly hosting the first annual Jim McCloe Memorial Tournament.
WRESTLING
Waverly HOSTS Jim Memorial Tournament, 9:30 a.m.: Waverly hosts an eight-team tournament, and will compete in Pool A with Maine-Endwell, Union-Endicott, and Oxford-Greene.
Pool B is comprised of Corning, Vestal, Whitney Point, and Middletown.
Tioga at Bradshaw Invitational, 9 a.m. @ Canandaigua Academy: The Tigers advanced 13 wrestlers into this morning’s quarterfinals. Their other four wrestlers are alive in the consolation bracket.
Athens at New Oxford Tournament, 9 a.m.: Seniors Gavin Bradley, Kaden Setzer, and Karter Rude advanced to the semifinals Friday, while sophomore Josh NIttinger and freshman Caleb Nason are alive in the wrestlebacks.
