ELMIRA — Waverly grad Sidney Tomasso, a freshman on the nationally-ranked St. John Fisher’s women’s basketball team, was one of three scorers in double-figures in a 73-45 win over Elmira College here Saturday afternoon.

Tomasso scored 11 points, including one 3-pointer, to go along with two rebounds, one assist, and one steal in the win. It’s Tomasso’s fifth game in double-figures, and her third in the last four games.

Tioga grad Olivia Ayres, a freshman at Elmira College, had three points on a 3-pointer, three rebounds, three steals, and one assist.

On the season, Tomasso is averaging 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.1 steal per game. She has 13 3-pointers in three games.

Ayres is averaging 6.5 points, 3 rebounds, 1.1 assist, and 1.3 steals per game. She has 22 3-pointers in 12 games.

St. John Fisher (12-1 and ranked 25th in the nation) returns to action Tuesday at Alfred U., while Elmira College (6-7) travels to Hartwick College Friday.
