IAC JV BOYS BASKETBALL: UNION SPRINGS RIDES STRONG THIRD QUARTER TO 47-35 WIN OVER TIOGA (8 PHOTOS) (2022-01-16)

UNION SPRINGS — Union Springs used a third-quarter run to take control in a 47-35 win over Tioga here Friday night in IAC Small School junior varsity crossover boys basketball action.

Shea Bailey scored eight points, including a 3-pointer, in the first quarter, but the scored was tied at 10-10 after the first eight minutes.

Karson Sindoni knocked down a 3-pointer and scored five points in the second quarter, but Union Springs outscored Tioga, 12-9, to take a 22-19 lead at the half.

The junior Wolves used an 18-8 third-quarter run to extend its lead to 40-27 entering the final eight minutes.

Bailey led Tioga with 14 points, while Sindoni scored nine points, and Valentino Rossi added six points.

Tioga travels to Candor Tuesday.
