IAC BOWLING: TIOGA SWEEPS O-M TO CLINCH 7TH STRAIGHT DIVISION TITLE; LADY TIGERS SWEPT (2022-01-27)

WATKINS GLEN — With a sweep of Odessa-Montour here Thursday afternoon at Harborside Lanes, the Tioga boys clinched their seven consecutive IAC Small School title.

The Tigers finish off the season at 48-4, four games ahead of SVEC (44-8). (Their remaining matches are for individual averages only.)

The Lady Tigers were swept by O-M.

BOYS
Tioga 4, O-M 0

Dylan Slated rolled a 592 series, including a 234, to lead Tioga to a 667-pin win over O-M.

The Tigers won the first game 776-508, then followed it up with wins of 902-625, and 863-741 for a total-pinfall victory of 2,541 to 1,874.

Senior Rocco Fariello shot a 498 for the Tigers, while junior Gage Cain rolled a 496, junior Brad Webb had a 473, junior Frank Chapman added a 446, and 8th-grader Nick Slater chipped in with a 429.

Austin Hoyt led O-M with a 440 series.

GIRLS
O-M 4, Tioga 0

The Lady Indians won three close decisions to sweep Tioga.

O-M won the first game by a score of 654-570, and followed it up with wins of 625-601 and 702-634 for a total-pinfall victory of 1,981 to 1,805.

Junior Caroline Chapman led Tioga with a 379 series, while junior BobbiJo Tarbox had a 375, senior Rachel Feeko had a 368, junior Jamie Card added a 346, and sophomore Allie Creller tacked on a 337.

Tioga returns to action Tuesday at Newark Valley.
