IAC GIRLS BOWLING: WAVERLY FINISHES THIRD, TIOGA SEVENTH AT LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS (2022-02-15)

Valley Sports Report
WAVERLY — Waverly finished third, and Tioga seventh Saturday afternoon at the IAC Bowling Championships here at the Valley Bowling Center.

Union Springs / Port Byron claimed the team title with a three-game aggregate total of 2,877, while SVEC was second with 2,554. Waverly tallied 2,363 pints, while Watkins Glen was fourth with 2,344, and Odessa-Montour was fifth with 2,273. Tioga tallied 2,132.

Sophomore Rachel Houseknecht led the Lady Wolverines with a 558 series on games of 185, 202, and 171, while junior Shantilly Decker shot a 549, including a 212 high game, and junior Victoria Houseknecht had a 493 series.

Freshman Serenity Conklin added a 418 series for Waverly, and 7th-grader Emily Houseknecht tacked on a 345.

Toga finishes 7th at league championships
Sophomore Chloe Gillette rolled a season-high 559 series to help the Lady Tigers to a seventh-place finish Saturday. She rolled games of 166, 217, and 176.

Junior Caroline Chapman rolled a 488 for the Lady Tigers, while, Bobbi Jo Tarbox had a 419, junior Jamie Card added a 344, and sophomore Allie Creller tacked on a 262.

Waverly and Tioga returns to action Saturday in the Section IV, Class Championships at Midway Lanes in Vestal.
