IAC BOYS BOWLING: WAVERLY WINS IAC TITLE, TIOGA FOURTH AT LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS (2022-02-15)
Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY — Junior Zach Vanderpool banged out a 700 series, and junior Ashton Pritchard added a big 600 series to lead Waverly to the team title Saturday afternoon at the IAC Bowling Championships here at the Valley Bowling Center.
The Wolverines amassed a three-game aggregate total of 3,076 pins, while SVEC was second with 2,934, Groton was third with 2,834, and Tioga placed fourth with 2,826.
Vanderpool banged out a 712 series on games of 256, 222, and 234, while Pritchard fired a 665 series on games of 215, 247, and 203.
Freshman Dom Wood shot a 599 series including games of 203 and 220, while sophomore Trenton Sindoni had a 542, 8th-grader Derek Johnson added a 540, and 8th-grader Tristan Campbell tacked on a 466.
Tioga finishes fourth at league championshipsSenior Dylan Slater led Tioga to a fourth-place finish with a 608 series on games of 212, 201, and 195.
Junior Gage Cain shot a 574, including a 207, while 8th-grader Nick Slater had a 572, including a 202, and junior Bradley Webb added a 570 series. Senior Rocco Fariello tacked on a 475 series, including a 212 high game.
Waverly and Tioga will return to action Friday afternoon at the Section IV, Class Championships at Midway Lanes in Vestal.
