DISTRICT 4 FOOTBALL: NORTH ROLLS TO 36-0 WIN OVER SOUTH IN SENIOR ALL-STAR GAME (6 PHOTOS) (2022-06-25)

LEWISBURG — All-star football games in June are generally not offensively-oriented, but the North used a well-balanced offensive attack to register a 36-0 win over the South here Thursday in the District 4 Seniors All-Star game.

The lone Valley player in action was Athens lineman Tom Forrest.

The North threw for 143 yards, led by Montgomery’s Logan Alemida, who completed 2 of 4 passes for 71 yards and one TD. Loyalsock’s Naz Smith led the team with four receptions for 81 yards and one TD.

The North also rushed for 185 yards and three TDs. Montoursville’s Rocco Pulizzi led the North with 60 yards and one TD on nine carries.

Defensively, the North limited the South to 82 passing yards, and just four rushing yards on 20 carries.

The North jumped out to a 22-0 lead after the first quarter.

Pulizzi scored on a 3-yard run, and tacked on the conversation to make it 8-0 with 3:34 remaining in the first quarter, then Canton’s Caiden Williams picked off a pass on the next play from scrimmage to make it 15-0.

Almeida and Smith hooked up on a 35-yard pass play for a score with 14 seconds left in the first quarter to make it 22-0.

North Penn-Mansfield’s Cam Fabian scored on a 1-yard run midway through the second quarter to make it 29-0.

Montoursville’s Maddix Dalena scored on a 1-yard run midway through the third quarter to provide the final margin.

Canton head coach Tyler Sechrist and the Warrior coaching staff directed the North in the win.
