BLOSSBURG, Pa. — Sayre opened the Northern Tier Youth Football League season here Saturday afternoon with a pair of wins over Southern Tioga.

Sayre’s “C” team (first- and second-grade) won a 19-7 decision over Southern Tioga, while Sayre’s “B” team posted a 19-6 decision.

There was no “A” game as Sayre did not have enough players to field a team.
