IAC VOLLEYBALL: TIOGA CRUISES TO SWEEP OF NEWFIELD (2022-09-23)

TIOGA CENTER — For the first time this week, Tioga did not play a five-set marathon, instating posting a sweep of Newfield here Friday night in IAC South Small School Division volleyball action.

The Lady Tigers, now 5-1, who beat Waverly in five sets Monday, and lost to S-VE in five sets Wednesday, won by scores of 25-10, 25-21, and 25-6.

Senior Kyra Bailey led Tioga with 19 points, including four aces, 14 setter assists, and six digs, and junior Megan Vance had 10 points, including seven aces, and four kills.

Senior Reese Howey had six points, five kills, and four blocks in the win, while junior Layni Whitmore added six points, five kills, one block, and three digs, and senior Hailey Browne registered three kills.

Tioga travels to Newark Valley Monday.

JV: Tioga swept the junior varsity match by scores of 25-12 and 25-3.

RaeAnne Feeko led Tioga with 19 points, including 11 aces, nine assists, and four digs, while Kali Bailey had 12 points, including nine aces, and one block, Lydiah Decker registered seven points and three kills, Kendra Noe added five points, and Mary Divers chipped in with three kills, three assists, and two points.
