THE VALLEY — Only five events on Monday’s schedule, but four of them are in the Valley,, including boys soccer games at Athens and Waverly, a volleyball match at Waverly, and the NTL’s final regular-season match at Tomasso’s Golf Course.

BOYS SOCCER
Towanda (1-8 overall, 1-5 NTL) at Athens (6-5, 5-1), 6 p.m.:
The Wildcats are coming off a 5-1 non-league to powerhouse Corning, while the Black Knights dropped a 4-1 decision to North Penn-Liberty.

Athens is tied with Williamson for second place at 5-1 — both teams trail front-running Wellsboro (7-0).

Newark Valley (4-6) at Waverly (5-3), 7 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a 3-0 win over Odessa-Montour, while the Cardinals dropped a 1-0 decision to Trumansburg.

VOLLEYBALL
Watkins Glen (1-6) at Waverly (6-1), 5 p.m. JV start:
The Wolverines are coming off a sweep of Candor Friday, while the Lady Senecas swept arch-rival O-M.

Tioga (5-1) at Newark Valley (1-3), 5 p.m. JV start: The Tigers are coming off a sweep of Newfield Friday, while the Lady Cardinals swept Newfield Monday.

GOLF
NTL Match #7 @ Tomasso’s Golf Course, 1:30 p.m.:
Athens clinched its second straight NTL title last week. Today, Wildcat junior Evan Cooper can wrap an individual regular-season league title.

JV FOOTBALL
