COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: TIOGA GRAD ROSSI'S CAREER ENDS IN SECOND ROUND OF DIV. III CHAMPIONSHIPS (2022-11-14)

HUNTINGTON, Pa. — Tioga grad Giovanna Rossi, a senior on the SUNY Cortland volleyball team, saw here collegiate career come to an end with the Lady Red Dragons’ loss to nationally-ranked Juniata in the section round of the NCAA Div. III tournament.

Juniata College, ranked second in the nation, improved to 30-1 with a sweep of Cortland by scores of 25-13, 25-10, and 25-14.

Rossi had four points, four kills, one setter assist, one block, and one dig in the loss.

Cortland swept Rowan by scores of 26-24, 25-22, and 25-11 in the opening round.

Rossi had 12.5 points, 12 kills, one block, and five digs in the win.

Rossi, who played in 21 matches and 66 sets this season, had 159.5 points and 144 kills to go along with 26 blocks, 60 digs, and four assists.

Cortland finishes the season with a 22-6 record.
