IAC BOWLING: TIOGA BOYS SWEEP GROTON; LADY TIGERS FALL, 3-1 (2022-12-01)
Valley Sports ReportGROTON — The Tioga boys earned their first sweep of the season here Thursday in IAC Small School Division bowling action at Memory Lanes, while the Lady Tigers dropped a 3-1 decision.
BOYS
Tioga 4, Groton 0Senior Brad Webb rolled a 505 series to pace Tioga in a sweep of Groton.
Senior Frank Chapman shot a 479 for the Tigers, while senior Gage Cain had a 459, and freshman Nick Slater had a 426.
Junior Mason Green added a 349 for Tioga, and freshman Nate Hulbert tacked on a 240.
Mike Brehm shot a 445, and Kory Hilker added a 418 to lead Groton.
Tioga improves to 6-6 on the season.
GIRLS
Groton 3, Tioga 1Junior Chloe Gillett shot a match-high 550 series, including a 209 in the third game, but Tioga dropped a 3-1 decision to Groton.
Junior Allie Creller rolled a 414 for the Lady Tigers, while senior Caroline Chapman had a 389, senior Jamie Card had a 338, freshman Kelsey Helmich added a 337, and sophomore Ariana Hawley tacked on a 295.
Lacie Hilker led Groton with a 492 series, and Emily Carigan added a 475.
Tioga, now 9-3 on the season, returns to action Tuesday at SVEC.
