Valley Sports Report
THE VALLEY — The Sayre and Athens boys are on the road for key NTL divisional basketball games, while in the Valley, the Tioga girls host Marathon.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Sayre (7-9 overall, 4-1 NTL Small) at Williamson (2-11, 0-5) 6 p.m. JV start:
The Redskins are coming off a wild, 73-69, win at Wyalusing Tuesday, while the Warriors dropped a 76-29 decision to Wyalusing 9 days ago.

Sayre leads the division with a 4-1 record. NEB, NP-L, and Canton are all 3-2.

In their first meeting, Sayre rolled over Williamson, 77-32.

Athens (11-5, 3-2 NTL Large) at Wellsboro (10-4, (4-1) , 6 p.m. JV start: The Wildcats are coming off a 58-22 win over Canton, while the Hornets topped North Penn-Liberty, 59-31.

North Penn-Mansfield leads the NTL Large School Division with a 5-0 record, wth Wellsboro 4-1 and Athens at 3-2. Tonight is a must-win for the Wildcats to keep their hopes alive for a division title.

In their first meeting, Wellsboro won at Athens, 57-48.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Marathon (8-6 overall, 4-5 IAC Small) at Tioga (1-13, 1-8), 5:30 p.m. JV start: The Lady Tigers are coming off a 54-17 loss to Groton, while the Lady Olympians dropped a 39-33 decision at S-VE.
