YOUTH VOLLEYBALL: NORTHERN TIER VOLEYBALL CLUB 14U AND 16U BLUE WIN TOURNEY TITLES (2 PHOTOS) (2025-05-12)

ATHENS — The Athens-based Northern Tier Volleyball Club racked up two more titles this spring, with its 14U and 16U teams recently winning tournaments.

The 14U team went 6-2 in pool play, then beat TiCann in the championship game of the TiCann Invitational at Tioga Central High School.

The 14U roster was comprised of Addison Glielmi, Lilli Miller, Madison Sinsabaugh, Hailey Smith and Jonica Walters (Athens), Afftyn VanDuzer (Sayre), Addison Aquillio, Adaleigh Jankowsky, and Mercede Overpeck (Towanda), and Leraya Teeter (Waverly). The team is coached by Stephanie Dougherty.

The 16U Blue team won its second championship of the season at the Sacandaga Lake Life Showdown in Scotia, N.Y.  After going undefeated in pool play at 8-0, 16U Blue beat Upstate NY Crush in the finals.

The 16U Blue roster consists of Elliana Mosher, Hannah Parrish, and Meghan Wiles (Athens), Kylee Barnes and Kendall Kellogg (Towanda), Alli Bailey (Troy) and Mya Chamberlain (Waverly). The team is coached by Josh Lundy & Wendy Wyatt.
