VALLEY SPORTS REPORT: WAVERLY'S KITTLE, HINE, MONTANYE NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (November 10, 2025)

Valley Sports Report
THE VALLEY — Waverly senior Mira Kittle continued her record-breaking ways in the pool, while junior Chase Hine and sophomore Hayden Montanye punched their tickets to the New York State Cross-Country Championships. They are the VSR / Bishop Brothers Construction "Athletes of the Week," for the week ending Nov. 8.

WAVERLY'S KITTLE NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION GIRLS "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK"
Kittle, who was a four-time winner at the Class B preliminaries earlier in the week, was a quad-winner Saturday at the Class B Championships.

Kittle broke her own school record in winning the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 56.72 seconds. She is second in the state rankings.

Kittle also won the 50-yard freestyle in 23.63 seconds, and swam on a pair of winning relays, including the 200-yard medley relay that broke the M_E pool record, as well as the Class B meet record.

Tioga's RaeAnne Feeko (volleyball), Tioga's Lilly Mezzatesta (volleyball), Sayre's Rylee Lantz (volleyball), Sayre's Yhale Doon (volleyball), Waverly's Lauryn Welles (swimming), Waverly's Megan Atanasoff (girls swimming), and Tioga's Reese Mills (cross country).

WAVERLY'S HINE, MONTANYE NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION BOYS "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK"
Hine and Montanye finished sixth and seventh, respectively, to claim the last two state berths in the Section IV, Class C Championship race at Chenango Valley State Park.

Hine clocked in at 18:14.0, and Montanye crossed the finish line in 18:16.3.
