COLLEGE FOOTBALL: TIOGA GRAD ZWIERLEIN EARNS STARTING NOD IN SEASON-OPENER AT BUFFALO STATE (2019-09-08)

BUFFALO - Tioga grad Adam Zwierlein, a senior on the Buffalo State football team, earned a starting nod at inside linebacker in the Bengals' season-opening 23-6 loss to St. John Fisher here Saturday at Coyer Field.

Zwierlein had four tackles in the game, including one solo stop, and also broke up a pass.

Last year, Zwierlein played in eight games and was credited with 28 tackles, including 12 solo stops. He also had two tackles-for-loss, one pass deflection, and one fumble recovery.

Buffalo State returns to action Saturday at Utica College. Game time is noon.
