The Northern Tier Youth Football League, which included teams from Athens, Sayre, and Waverly, has canceled the 2020 season.

THE VALLEY — The 2019-20 high school sports year was one like no other, with the Covid-19 pandemic resulting in the cancellation of the spring sports season.

There were, however, many great performances turned in by Valley athletes in the fall and winter seasons, so this weekend Valley Sports Report will be honoring the top athletes, newcomers, and coaches in the abbreviated 2019-20 school year.
