SAYRE - Junior Kayleigh Miller scored 18 points and hit the 100th 3-pointer of her career here Thursday night to lead Athens in a 51-12 rout of crosstown rival Sayre in NTL girls basketball action.

The game was Sayre's 8th annual "Rally for the Cure" pink game.

A check for $2,525 will be presented to Guthrie Breast Care Fund, and another for $206 (raised through donations and a 50/50 drawing at the game) will be presented to the Sayre House of Hope in honor Athens coach Brian Miller, who is a cancer survivor.

Kayleigh Miller, who connected on seven 3-pointers Wednesday night, knocked down four 3-pointers in the first half - the fourth being her 100th - as the Lady Wildcats raced out to a 27-9 halftime lead.

Sophomore Caydence Macik scored eight points in the second half, and Miller added six as Athens outscored Sayre 23-3 in the second half.

The Lady Wildcats have won three games in a row since its only loss of the season, and have allowed just 14 points per game in those wins.

Miller had six steals, four rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots to go along with her 18 points, while Barry had 12 points and four rebounds, and Macik added 10 points, eight rebounds, and one blocked shots.

Collins scored eight points in the win, while senior Avery Priester dished out nine assists, grabbed four rebounds, and recorded four steals, junior Rachel Stephens had five boards and one blocked shot, and junior Kassidy Peterson chipped in with four rebounds.

Sutryk led Sayre with 10 points, three rebounds, and one blocked shot, while junior Gabbi Randall had nine rebounds and three steals, senior Madi LaManna added three rebounds and two assists, and senior Erika Wells grabbed three boards. Jazz DeKay scored Sayre's other two points.

Athens, now 8-1, hosts Wellsboro Saturday afternoon (2 p.m. JV start), while Sayre, now 2-8, hosts North Penn-Mansfield (1 p.m. JV start).
