IAC JV GIRLS BASKETBALL: WAVERLY ROLLS TO 51-28 WIN OVER LANSING (2020-01-12)

LANSING - Waverly built a 16-point first-half lead, and cruised to a 51-28 win over Lansing here Friday evening in IAC junior varsity girls basketball action.

Addison Westbrook scored eight points in the first quarter, and Peyton Shaw added four points to field Waverly's game-opening 15-6 run in the first eight minutes.

Alyvia Daddona scored four points in the second quarter, and four of her teammates also put their names in the scorebook in a 13-6 spurt that put the junior Lady Wolverines up 28-12 at the half.

Shaw and Ashlen Croft scored four points apiece in the third quarter, and Waverly added one point to its advantage, taking a 39-22 lead into the final eight minutes.

Westbrook led a balanced Waverly offense with 14 points, while Shaw scored 10, Daddona had eight, Croft and Michaela Lauper added six points apiece, and Paige Robinson chipped in with five points.

Waverly hosts S-VE Tuesday night.
