THE VALLEY - The Tioga girls wrap up the regular season at home tonight, while Athens and Sayre swimmers are in action at the NTL Championships at Towanda in the only action on the docket.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Towanda at Tioga (8-11), 5:30 p.m. JV start: The Lady Tigers are coming off a 56-31 win over Marathon Tuesday night to clinch a berth in the upcoming Section IV, Class C playoffs, while the Lady Black Knights topped Wyalusing, 63-44, Monday to clinch the NTL Large School Division title.
Last year, Tioga rolled to a 54-33 win at Towanda.
BOYS & GIRLS SWIMMING
NTL Championships, 4:30 p.m. @ Towanda: The Athens boys send a strong contingent to the league meet, led by seniors Nate Gorsline and T.J. Toscano, juniors Mason Henderson, Joe Toscano, and Zac Gowin, sophomore Kaden Gorsline, and freshman Chris DeForest.
The Lady Wildcats will be led by senior Lauren Neville, junior Emma Roe, sophomore Brooke Kopatz, and freshmen Taegan Williams and Taylar Fisher.
The Sayre girls will be paced by seniors Jillian Shay and Kayla Hughey.
