Valley Sports ReportATHENS "" Fourteen Athens Lady Wildcat basketball players from the varsity and JV teams have been honored by the NTL as academic all-stars.
In order to attain the status, the student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA higher than 90 percent.
"I would like to congratulate the 14 girls who made the all-academic team," said Athens coach Brian Miller. "To be a scholar-athlete is very impressive. Many of these girls play two or three sports and to have GPA over 90 shows how bright and dedicated they are in the classroom."
Representing Athens on the 2019-20 NTL girls basketball academic all-star team are:
